For me, Anvil is the place to be... You have a relatively easy recommendation for the Mages Guild and you have two easy quests for the Fighter's Guild. Also the town is full of trainers! This makes it easier to help out your character in for both the primary and the secondary skill sets. You also several other quests that are mostly straightforward to complete as well. Then , you also do have all that great views !

Difficult question that one!
I love Bruma for it's feel and the house for sale is nice (it's not huge but it's very cozy). You're close to Cloud Ruler Temple and to Frostcrag Spire (although I play an assassin I like Frostcrag more than the Vile Lair because it has an awsome architecture).
But I also like the Imperial City. When I first played the game I wandered around the Imperial City for hours (real-life hours) just to check out the districts, shops, taverns, the palace and meet a lot of people. I was trully amazed by the general feel of the IC, it really looked like the busy capital city that it's supposed to be.
All the cities have a unique feeling that makes them different from the others and I love all of them!

Chorrol.
This was the first city I visited in the game. I've spend a lot of time in the streets, shops and taverns. I think really has a perfect lay-out. I like the huge amout of space, the beautiful houses and also the way the castle is located: on the top of a hill, overlooking the city.
I used Chorrol as a base of operations for a long time. I spend hours wandering in the forests and mountens,... ah, the good old times...

Of all the cities I've been to, I'd have to say that it's hard to choose. I mostly like Chorrol, since it's not as rich a city as Skingrad (although Rosethorn Hall does allow me to put my treasures on display
), and I enjoy the scenery and surrounding wilderness. While the West Weald does have its beauty, as does the Gold Coast, Blackwood, the Nibenay Basin, and the Jerall and Valus mountain ranges, the Great Forest stands out even more so than the rest of Cyrodiil.
If Kvatch wasn't destroyed, I'd move there in a heart beat. I myself happen to live not far from Alberta's "badlands" (simply put, Dinosaur Provincial Park is quite astonishing for any tourist to see
). Other than that, the whole of Cyrodiil is very beutiful if I say so myself
