Yes
Seems to me either people don't care too much for this new questline or don't play Oblvion anymore (SHAME ON YOU
!). I bought KOTN 2 wks ago, and while I do find it to be rather short (what'd you expect, an entirely new game?), it is much better than what people give credit for.
And it's NOT an expansion. IMO, an expansion adds brand new areas, several new weapons, perhaps a new armour set or two (or three, or four... ). It's an entirely new game, yet depends upon the original (like Doom 3 and its expansion, Resurrection of Evil). KOTN is more like an extension of the original.
Bethesda was also supposed to release another plugin called Dragonfire Castle or something. Supposed to be for warrior types (like me), and was to feature a secret vault, a wine cellar and vintner, a combat training and sparring room, and many other things. Not sure if Beth will release though. Here's a link to a page on UESPWiki:

No.
I haven't bought it and I don't intend to. Considering all of the coding bugs that Oblivion had when it was prematurely released, I feel that Bethesda should be offering us their mods for free.
And they ARE mods... not "expansions." If it was a bona-fide expansion pack, then I'd probably go for it... but KotN is no more deep and involved than a lot of player-made mods are. I've played it on a friend's rig and it is very nicely done... it's just not worth the money to me.
I love the game, but I won't be "nickel-and-dimed" to death.
The gaming industry needs to drop that bad habit.
Create your game -- make SURE it's complete -- and THEN release it for sale.
Can you imagine paying the premium price for a movie ticket, only to be told a week later that you needed to come back and pay even more money... to see all of the scenes that weren't finished yet..? That's what this trend in PC games is starting to look like to me.
Ooooops... I got on my blasted soapbox again. Sorry about that. Carry on.

Sadly I bought it and as it is just as buggy as Oblivion the KOTN patcher and quest won't work for me. The other content does work fine but as that ammounts to variations on 'a relative left you the keys to his tower, dungeon, etc in his will now go spend money to fix it up' it's hardly Solsteim or the Clockwork City is it?? Many fan modders do MUCH MUCH better than this. Beth' shame on you.

Yes.
Thought it adds such a little amount, what it does add was entertaining for another reason for me: I have several good or "repented" Characters that have gone through the quest, as it doesn't seem to get boring to me very fast. It wasn't always that way, though. If it didn't include all the Official Oblivion Mods, I likely would have not bought it. Suffice to say, I got it for all the extra content that I was not looking forward to buying.
