I fought Karrod and won and the king gave me instructions to investigate Amalexia further. So I went down to the temple and I was told to go in and talk to Goddess directly. When I initiated the dialog with Amalexia, she indicated she had a task for me. Here is the problem:
I don't get any further dialog about what she wants me do. No blue colored words linking to new topics and none of the existing topics point to a task. Also there was no journal relating to the task either. I pretty much knew what the quest is so I proceeded to Bazar to see if I can talk to Meralyn Othan but her dialog topics have not been updated either since the quest has not been initiated.
I have tried restarting the game from a previous saved position but no luck there either. Is there anyway I can initiate the quest through the console since the dialog won't come up?
Is this a bug that anyone has ran into?

Yes, I think I have done everything in the main quest storyline up to this point.

How did you start it? Did you do it the way in the book, or did you talk to the guy (if you want to know what I meant by those, just PM me, this isn't in Spoilers, afterall)?
