this is where everybody describes what kind of creature they are going to make, and give some background on your creature. here's mine

The Thyrrek

Thyrenius Priminus

Habitat: The Thyrreks are warlike creatures, they live in the harsh rainforests of Dargith. They make dwellings out of mud, and the bones of their prey, and fellow Thyrreks.

food: The Thyrreks eat small reptiles, and their slightly smaller cousins, the Kulons.

Background:In the Thyrrek society, the women are treated poorly. There is only four women in a tribe at a time, all female babies are killed unless one of the women has died. The Thyrreks are often at war with their cousins, the Kulons. The Thyrreks being larger, faster, and stronger, prey on their smaller, slower enemies. The only thing keeping the Kulons from being completely wiped out from the savage Thyrreks, is the Kulons breeding, a Kulon woman is respected, and has around 11 babies every two months. The Thyrreks, altho strong, and massive they are also of reasonable intelligence. They construct massive walls, consisted, of the interlocked bones of their dead, with every death in the tribe the wall gets bigger and bigger, giving great protection to their society. They are also cannibals, if a Thyrrekian soldier comes home wounded, the smell of it's blood will drive the others mad, until they swoop in on the soldier, and eat it alive. The Thyrrekians are renowned for there brutal, genius tactics in war.

Description:The common Thyrrekian male averages about 7 feet and 4 inches, and 680 pounds. They use no weapons, for their forearms hav massive spikes that average, about 6 feet long, the spike is serrated, and lined with poison. They are covered with scales from head to toe, and have a backwards horn in their forehead. They have red eyes, and a mouth with 3 lines of 3 inch serrated teeth. They have spiked tails that average about 3 feet long. They have two hearts, three lungs, and one massive stomach. They have two feet that average about a foot long, they have 5 toes, each equiped with a talon, 4 inches long. There arms hav about 37% of it's muscle mass, While it's upper body has 43%, it's legs have 14%, and it's lower body has about 6%. The Thyrrekian female averages about 4 feet and 10 inches, and lack the spikes, and the horn, and have only two lines of teeth. The males are superior in strength and size, but the females are quick and very smart.

alright let's hear yours :D

Wow, you've really been thinking hard about this. ^^ Personally I haven't put that much thought into my creatures yet - I think I'll go with the flow when the game is actually released... especially as there are bound to be gameplay tweaks and stuff between now and the release. They've been threatening to get rid of underwater creatures, for instance... that's a pretty big cut.

It would be most upsetting if underwater creatures were removed.

Anyway. I plan to create a bipedal, omnivorous, highly intelligent race. Like humans, but with 4 arms. And huge muscles. And a tail.

I think 4 armed bipeds look incredibly cool. Witness Prince Goro of Mortal Kombat fame. He doesn't have a tail, but is otherwise fairly close to my perfect race

o_O

Indeed you sure put alot of though in that Vulture.

I dont know what I would create. Im thinking of a bloody predator, but thats about everything I have in mind right now. A four legged creature with wings, preferably black color, red eyes, and a mean set of teeth.

when I get bored of my Thyrrekians, I will try to build a minotaur. and try and rebuild the Minotaur empire in Dragonlance.

I'm thinking of a cross between a Opistophthalmus adustus scorpion and a gorilla. Very large and strong with a thick carapace armoring their entire body. A scorpion lower body with a long, thin non venomous tail and a gorilla upper body with two sets of arms. Upper set would similar a normal gorillas for dexterity and item manipulation, while the lower set would be a set of broad and deadly pincers. Intelligence would be comparable to a gorilla. Now there's a killing machine!

Probably would live in the desert or other arid wide open landscapes as their size would hinder movement in forests, jungles and swamps.

Food would be anything smaller than them that they can catch.

tribal society, the strongest hunters and warriors usually leading the tribe. Distrusting of most other tribes, forging temporary alliances only when absolutely necessary.
