I have successfully completed the Shrine Of The Dead quest, except for one slight hiccup: my mercenery seems to be over-encumbered, probably from a bonewalker attack durring the battle with the liches guarding the shrine. I don't have any potions or scrolls that can restore his strength, so I'm wondering what I can do short of just ditching most of his gear so he can move again. I guess I could go to town and fetch him some restore strength, but would he drink it? He never seems to use any of the health potions I give him except occasionally durring a fight.

Maybe it's just as well to leave him and move on. If memory serves, I've already fought most of the worst battles in the Tribunal expansion and I'm on my own for the final one regardless. So maybe I don't even need him any more. But I was just wondering if there's an easy fix to this problem?

If memory serves me correctly, he won't drink it. However, one possibility is to make a restore strength spell (I forget who teaches this). Make it's range 'Target' or 'Touch' and voila. It shouldn't be powerful - just cast it over and over. you can always take his gear, give him some cash, let him follow you naked, and visit a shrine of Veloth (I think it casts it on your companion too... I forget... )

If you are on PC open the console, click on him and type 'setstrength 100' or whatever he ought to be.

Well, yeah, console too. He made it sound as if he was either on xbox or refusing to use the console. But if you want to set it using the console, his default strength is 74 (checked in CS)
