I'm having difficulty downloading a majority of these 7z files, and I was hoping someone could answer a few questions.
1. Which program do I use to open 7z files?
2. How do I know if they're opened properly, as when I have used Winzip to open 7z files, I get a massive list of files which it will not allow me to move to my Data folder?
3. Is there any difference in the extracting process between 7z and normal zip files?

1. I use 7-zip to unzip 7z compressed files - it will unzip nearly any compressed file such as Winzip, RAR, tugzip and everything else I have thrown at it.
It is FREE, with no nag to buy a upgraded version or begging for donations. And it is available here on TheNexus http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=15579
or if you want the latest version look here. http://majorgeeks.com/7Z_d5707.html the one on TesNexus works fine, the latest version has an enhanced compression for making zipped files.
2. You install 7-zip. it comes as a self extracting file, just click on it to install. Then associate ALL of your zipped formats to the 7-zip - instructions on how here:

3. None that I know of. The user interface is slightly different, but I think easier once you have used it.
If you have properly associated the file types, then when you click on a zipped file of any kind, the 7-zip screen will open showing you all compressed files in the download and asking which you want to unzip, and where you want them. You can select all, or just the ones you want.
