Mod Trouble Oblivion will not open

Tell us what mods you have, preferably post their load order. Tell us your operating system, Vista is known to have issues with the game installed on the default path.
You should not try to run the game from OBMM, so I think you mean OBSE and if you use mods that need OBSE you should never start the game without it, let alone saving the playthrough.
You may have corrupted savegames by now. Try making a new game and verify if it works.

Also, if you have too many unused mods in your data folder it can cause a problem. It seems that Oblivion 'looks' at every mod in the folder on load, and when you have over a certain number it causes a problem.
Try moving the unused mods out of the folder and out of the Oblivion folder completely. Just making a new subfolder will not work.

The conflict detectors usually work quite well for shooting down this kinda thing.
Or it may be as Ben stated you've simply got too many. I've not quite managed to get there (yet
