Hi everyone, I am new here and want to find out what good mods I should add to my computer for Oblivion. I have never added mods before, so would appreciate any suggestions, help & advice you could offer regarding excellent mods for Oblivion. Thanks! and looking forward to making new friends here.

Welcome to TheNexus
As to what mods, what kind of game experience are you looking for? There are mods for many kinds of gaming. Some people are sticklers for official lore and refuse to play a mod that does not fit the lore. While others like great graphics at the expense of a little FPS. Still others want heavy combat or are willing to give up lore for fun mods.
No matter what you are looking for, I recommend getting both OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) and OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) these are not really mods, but utility programs. They do not install like mods, so read the instructions first.
OBMM is a mod manager that allows manipulating the load order and many other things about mods. Almost required when you have more than a very few mods installed.
Get it here: http://timeslip.chor...m_download.html
OBSE allows mod makers to do things that the original game makes did not realize could be done, and is required to use the mods made using it.
