If you did activated archive invalidated and it doesn't work then you haven't installed textures correctly.
Do you have any other mods installed?

1. You will need to add new folder named textures in your data folder(if you don't have it already)
2. In textures folder add another new folder named armor
3. copy Assassin Gear folder with 4 dds files to armor folder
Simple- 4 dds files from this mod must be in path- data/textures/armor/Assassin Gear

I recommend you fix this yourself, don't worry its not terribly complicated, it just involves changing an .ini file.
Theres various tutorials on the internet and can't remeber it at the top of my head, I'm on my laptop right now, which doesn't have FO3, if not fixed by morning, I'll talk you through it.
PS: I also suggest you download Fallout 3 Mod Manager, you can find it on the nexus, I know that invalidation program works, and it will let you use mods easier!

You should also get ElminsterAU's FO3Edit ... it's a must-have for finding and resolving mod conflicts. You'll want Miax's great FO3Edit Guide - Web-enized to learn how to use the utility, particularly the chapter on conflict detection and resolution.
