Okay, this is real quick. Should only take a minute or two to answer.

I have a ! box on my character. One person tells me it's a missing texture, another tells me it's a missing mesh.

Now, I've managed to use FOMM to figure out which file is causing the ! box to appear on my character. The problem is this:

How do I find out which mesh or texture is missing? FO3edit shows no errors, so I have no way of knowing on my own.

Thank you for your time.

Okay, I did some digging and I found this:

Several of the armors in the mod causing the ! box make reference to an Object Effect/Enchantment called:
EnchClothingHeadSunGuard "Head gear" [ENCH:00071B88]
But the Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch changed the ID for the Object Effect/Enchantment to:
EnchClothingShadySunGuard "Shady Hat" [ENCH:0007C17A]
Now, despite this change in the name of the Object Effect/Enchantment's ID code, the mod causing the ! box still says the first one. Would that affect it and cause a ! box?

I hope not, because the mod causing this problem won't let me edit what Object Effect/Enchantment it uses. No matter how many times I change "Head gear" to "Shady Hat", it just goes right back to "Head gear".

Any confirmation or help? It'd be very appreciated.

Get ElminsterAU's FO3Edit and Miax's great FO3Edit Guide - Web-enized. Using FO3Edit, you can enter the right value directly into the record without fussing with GECK.
