Mr. B

Please do the following.

Open/run GECK

Go to "File" choose Data

Scroll to find "EVE Operation Anchorage.esp"

Doubleclick, an "X" shuld appear in the box to the left of it, means you've selected it.

Below that is a button in the lower left corner of the window says "Set as Active File", click that once

Click "OK"

Wait up to 2 minutes, it takes a while to load

When its loaded it will be chalk full of entries. The "Main list" is on the left side, Game Effects, Items, Miscellaneous, Special Effects, ect ect ect

Click the "+" to open the tree for "Special Effects"

The bottom of that list says "Projectile", click that word once to highlight it

The 22nd entry down that list is "DLC02GaussProjectile". Locate that entry and Doubleclick that

A new window titled "Projectile" will open. In the right side/middleish of that window is a segment called "Explosion". Contains: Type, Trigger on Impact, Alt. Trigger, Timer ect ect

Next to the word "explosion" is a check box. UNCHECK THAT BOX!!!!

click OK

Look to the left again of GECK at the "main list". Under "Special Effects" and just one entry above "projectile" you'll see the word "Impact Data Set". Click that word once to highlight it. A new list of entries will appear on your right side

Under those entries is black white space. empty lines. "Right click" anywhere under the existing entries and it will pop up saying "New, Edit, Delete, TOggle quest object". Highlight and select NEW!

A new window will open entitled "Impact Data Set". You will see different material types listed below. In the upper portion it says: "ID _____________". Type in an ID for your impact data. Be sure to list it something appropriate for the weapon, and easy to remember. So put some Prefix in there. (i.e. my prefix is WJS, so i would write WJSgaussimpacts). Then click OK

At this point you should SAVE your progress. Click the "File" tab at the top of GECK, hit Alt+S on your keyboard, or press the disk icon (its below the Edit tab, and 3 icons to the right)

Now, back on the lefthand "main list" under Special Effects, highlight "Impact Data" located just above where you are now (impact data set).

To the right you will see MANY entries. The 6th one down is entitled "BallisticGlassImpact", double-click that entry. A window will pop up titled "Impact Data". The FIRST THING you wanna do is to change the "ID". Write something similar to before (I.E. i'll use WJSgaussimpactFX). DONT close the window yet!

Now 75% of the way down you will see an area titled "Effect". In there it says "Impact NIF" and to the right of that is a button says "Edit". Click that button. A Select File window will open, locate and choose DLCAnchEffectsDLCAnchGaussExplosion01.nif <--- then click "Open"

Under that "Effect" segment is the last segment called "Impact Sounds". In there it says Sound 1 and Sound 2. Sound 1 is titled, but CLICK that button to choose a better one. A loooong list should be open now. Find FXMeleePowerFistConc. The best way to find that in the big list is to begin typing that title. it will move to the ones beginning with "F" as soon as you begin typing.

When you've highlighted FXMeleePowerFistConc in that list, "double-click" that entry to choose it. (NOTE* a sound will play when you choose it, but its the previous sound, not that new suond, ignore it).

Click OK in the Impact Data window and it will pop up saying "Create New Object: Yes or No", of course choose "Yes"!

In the "main list" on the left, go back to "Impact Data Set", in Special Effects.

Double click on the entry you made before. (mine was WJSgaussimpacts). It will open and you will see 12 materials listed.

Starting with "Stone", right-click the empty space for stone (the first space under "EditorID"). Two options should hover there now: "NEW, or DELETE". Choose 'New'.

A window will open called "Select Form". The titles listed are the titles of "Impact Data". Remeber you just made your own custom Impact Data. So recall what you named it, and scroll to find it in that list. Double click yours when you've found it. It should now appear to the right of "Stone".

Congratulations, you deserve a Pineapple Beer. Now go ahead and repeat that for ALL of the other materials EXCEPT: Cloth and Water. All other Materials should then have the same name as "Stone" does under 'EditorID'.

Now go to the "Main List" on the left side again, and expand the word "Items" by clicking the '+' box to the left of the word. At the bottom of that list yo will see "Weapon". Click once to highlight the word, and a ton of entries will appear to the right

23rd entry down is called "DLC02WeapGaussRifleWasteland". Double-click this. A window called "Weapon" will open.

In the middle of this window you will see 3 "tabs". Game Data, Art and Sound, Rumble. Click the 2nd/middle tab called 'Art and Sound'.

You should see 2 pipboy icon boxes. cool yeah? OK stay focused, look to the left-hand side about 60% of the way down. You will see a stack of drop-down boxes, 5 of them. The first pulldown is called "Projectile" and you can see that DLC02GaussProjectile is named. Under that the 2nd pulldown menu is called "Impact Data Set". Click that to open it. Now select your IMpact Dat Set that you just made (mine was WJSgaussimpacts). Select yours and the pulldown will now show your Impact Data Set name that you created.

Click "OK" in the lower right-hand corner. Now SAVE!!!!
