Hey, ever since now the automotive industry is either Unionized, or under a Socialist government. Unions have car companies like GM and Chevrolet at thier throat. Socialist cars on the other hand (Cars from European Car companies, or Asian Car companies) are.. Socialist! Having no choice to get a Capitalist Car, which one is better?

No flaming, no complaining, and no anger directed towards me please. Sorry if I offend Socialists or Union Workers, we all have our opinions and I just wished there was a purely made Capitalist Car.

If you do not attempt any of the above actions in this thread you can say whatever you want.

:thanks:

How are European cars Socialist?
I think that doesn't even could be said about the vast majority of all the Asian cars.

Buy what works... and will keep working. So basically, not an American car. Try BMW or Honda.

I buy something that I can get my money's worth out of - something stylish but functional.

I think I am going to get a Volkswagen New Beetle. I love the style of it and it has decent crash test ratings.

I must disagree with Vagrant on one subject. The amount of effort it takes for assembling cars is a lot less today cause of the robotic machines that do a lot of it for them, the union workers who work for chevy are mostly assembly line workers who get paid about the same amount as a IT developer with no college degrees. Database programmers have a much larger magnitude of working effort than assembly line crew who just screw in car parts and yet these car workers make way too much money for thier job's demand. Unions might have made sense back in the 50's but today they make no sense anymore, there are laws that protect workers, etc.

Simply put: If you don't like your job, or want to get paid more: Go learn how to be an IT developer or just find a different job, or work two jobs.. By the way I do not watch fox mostly because they are sarcastic, and I hate sarcasm.

easy to say when your young.Be in your forties or fifties at the same job for 25-30 years and that makes no sense at all. Reality dictates you support your family and give what you can, fantasy dictates a proletarian world where all can be what they choose with unending choices too.The reality of the economy dictates working peoples choices not a car company!

unions came about to protect the worker, give him/her rights and the ability to raise a family better than he himself was raised.Vacations, the 40 hour work week, overtime, maternity leave all the things white collar people take for granted came about because of unions. I'll buy American where working people believe in one another, not stupid commercials with talking frogs and or cars in them.

I would say, you should buy the car you like most, since it is your money and it will be your car that you want to enjoy.

Btw:
I finally understood the Union thing. In Germany it is called Gewerkschaft.
It basicly started with the Revolutions of 1848/1849.
