Every time I have done the quest where you have to get the ring from the jewelry box it has not been there. done the quest three times and no ring. Can someone give me the code for the ring or a way to complete the quest....again (SIGH)

If it is, I suppose the Countess always wears the ring, except at night when she go to sleep. May want to try that.
But if it's not the quest, you could be a little more specific.

Yes it is the ring you get for the thief guild from the sleeping Countess. I did not state it right this has never happened before and I have all patch's installed. It was not on her person or in the jewelry box. I tried 5 times from the beginning and no go. The Wiki said that this was possible but the patch that corrected it was in stalled and no ring. I finally just used the work around and entered the item code.

Hey thanks for the info. I was not able to post an up date that I found the ID # in the Wiki before I solved it by using the console and the ID#. What I can't figure out is the ring was never missing completely (not in the box or on her sleeping person) till after I got all the patch's installed. I will copy the set stage console command into my list of useful things to remember so thanks again
