My infrared receiver won't stop re-installing itself. Every 3 or so hours playing Oblivion, my console stops working, and I have to exit Oblivion, go into device manager, uninstall it, and play again. How can I get it to stop re-installing?

Have you tried disabling it in the device manager?

Right click the device>disable.
