I have added a notification overlay to display once every 7 days (by default) to remind all members to rate as many files as possible that they have downloaded by viewing their download history.

You can tweak how often you get reminded to rate your files in your member preferences section, which also has the option to disable them altogether.

From modder's perspective, people who download mods, have fun, never upload mods, and never write comments or feedbacks need to be restricted. Some modders only consider any comments/feedback for their payment for their hundereds of countless hours of works.

only one sentence "thank you for the mod." is really helpful. if modders spent hundreds of hours, but downloaders doesn't wannt to spend 5 seconds writing such comment, than I dont think that is fair.

Dear Admins and Moderators of Fallout 3 Nexus, this message reminder to rate/comment is really nice. but I bet people who are "I-Shall-Never-Leave-Comment" will simply cilck "X" in that reminder and never care.

Nice addition. You can choose from a day up to a month, I like that.
This will definitely please the modders that are afraid people forget to vote.
Thanks Dark0ne!

I'm afraid they cannot push it any further, dree74. It's not an obligatory thing....

Great job in getting this reminder implemented!

However, I was disappointed to see an option to disable it altogether. I consider a once a week reminder to be very non-invasive and necessary to ensure all mods, not just mainstream mods, get rated. With the ability to turn it off, nothing will change at all.

As always I appreciate you folks working to improve the site but I think this needs to be a mandatory feature, not an optional one.

If people don't wish to rate files then that's they're prerogative, I'm not going to force them. This reminder is for legitimate raters who simply forget to go back and rate their downloaded files.

This change has my endorsement.

I believe it will go far to please those who have been complaining about the reduced number or ratings.
There will always be those who do not rate, and nearly as many excuses as non raters. But, as DarkOne said we cannot force them to rate.

personally, i think the rating system could be a little easier. all i see is the endorsement stub, and comments. but what i'd like to see near or under the endorsement stub is a simple rating system built on a 1-5 manor, one being least, five being greatest, so i could both give it a real rating, an endorsement, and a comment, or simply just a 5 rating if i feel lazy that day. also, there should be a vote counter beside that stub, so that you cans see how many people have rated your downloadable, and so you can tell what your cumulative rating is. (Newgrounds does this kind of a program, and for the members who vote the MOST, they have more voting power over submissions, meaning their vote actually has more influence on a submission's ultimate rating over someone who doesn't vote ever)

The link to NOT being bothered with being "reminded" does not work.

I just recently got a message from it asking if I wanted to rate the mods I had downloaded, and it was nice to see that this got implemented.
Though I have to disagree with anyone saying that users should be forced to comment on mods, since that would only increase the amount of moronic comments on mods(and you'll likely piss off people too).
Having the option to change how often we are reminded is a good idea, and I'm glad it's there.
