Hi, I've been recently having some issues with my monitor and "Power Save Mode" issues. When playing a game (WarRock inparticular) my monitor goes into this "Power Save Mode" (The Mode that is automatically activated when my computer goes into sleep mode, or I turn it off myself) in about 5-10 minutes into game play. The only way to fix it is to restart my computer, which in every ten minutes is a pain in the ass. I have also wondered if it was an overheating issue, because I won't lie my comp is godly, lol. I have a GTX285 which does get hot at some points but I haven't experienced these crashes with Call of Duty: World at War or any other game. Also, WarRock isn't very sexy either. It shouldn't be running my comp to its fullest but the video card does get pretty steamin'. Even Crysis doesn't experience the monitor issue. Besides, I have a water cooler.

Any possible reasons this might be happening?

Try going to Control Panel -> Power Options, and changing 'Turn off monitor' to never (this setting determines how long the computer must be idle for before the monitor automatically goes into standby mode), and see if it still does it. If not, then we know its not overheating.

Its unlikely it'll make much difference, but its the only thing I've thought of so far, and it can't hurt to try :P

Try contacting the official Dell tech support.
They're bound to know best.
