HI people im a noob.
so i know that like the others that you all are gonna bash my face in after i say what im about to say. so lets get this over with cause i really want to say this.
I just saw that this mod had died... i think it's a shame, i really do. NOt because of the fact that it's shutting down but because it could continue if the leaders of this mod would maybe try to do some negotiation with tolkien enterprises. Tolkien enterprises holds the rights to the lord of the rings, them being one the chief holds of these rights along with new line cinema, and collins harper. Tolkien enterprises has worked with other games such as War of the Ring and The Hobbit. Tolkien enterprises has agreed to let companies like sierrra use the names and places of middle earth, so why not for this mod? i think that if you simply asked they may grant you the ability to use those names and places of middle earth. I think its worth a try even if it may fail.

So you all could just at least think about that?

1) It was tried, and permission to use the copyrighted material was denied.

2) You don't even have the right copyright owner, a fact you should consider before you think about doing anything.

3) All of these things have been suggested (and rejected) countless times already. Look through the forum and you'll find them.

I have the right copyright owner... but i guess if they already tried to contact them and they rejected it then i guess theres no hope...
