Now, normally, when I dl something it LETS me choose my path, name the file, etc.

Not this time.

Now it dosent ask, it just goes to a folder called "Temporary folder"

Any idea how to access that/stop it?

This sounds like something adware would do, make sure you clean your computer with a adware scanner like lavasofts adaware or spybot search and destroy. Then also do a virus scan, a virus could cause problems like that to.

Normally where downloads are placed is a function of your browser. I am unsure about Maxthon though. You may have to look in the documentation to find out how it handles downloads. There may be a plugin that handles where it puts things based on some criteria you set (or are supposed to set). Most of these will allow you to setup something like : 7z files always go in /downloads/Oblivion, while .rar files go in /Other. and any file types that are not listed go in /downloaded stuff.
