Also, sometimes you get some unbeatable adventures made by other people. Ie. Monster with 50,000 hp and able to stun you, adventures full of bugs etc etc.

Yep, exactly why it isn't worth buying. Just like the rest of the crap on sporepedia that people make just to get achievements, most of the missions you'll eventually get will either be these kinds, or too simplistic to keep you interested. The crap outweighs the talent, and finding the talent takes far too much time.
That and they still didn't fix most of the bugs and issues which I see as game breaking (low rez baked textures on everything). From what I've seen of the Sims 3, that game also has this problem. Way too much lying about how things will look.

Anyways, to be honest, once you reach level 10 captain, you'll get bored of it. (Wasted $40 and 48 hrs of life, miserable)
Then I went back to play my "Full of Bugs and CTD" Fallout 3. Hehe

Erm, not sure if you've noticed, but even on "very high" settings, textures are still muddy, low rez, and often painted in the wrong area. Compare some buildings between the editor and the sporepedia, you'll see what I mean. Hardware has nothing to do with it, it's how the game is designed. They show you one version in the editor, then a much crapper version in game or in sporepedia. It's like when they send a toy to be made in china, the prototype is of proper quality, but the mass-produced version is crappy and chock full of nutritious lead.
