I know alot of you will roll your eyes or pass this by, but...

I spent 4 bucks on the GOTY Morrowinds CD game, unopened at a garage sale yesterday. Loaded it into my laptop, figuring it wont need a heavy graphics card, and it doesn't, and wow.... the memories.

Sounds stupid but to the individuals who have played Morrowinds alot (100+ hours) it really made me nastalgic.

I have probably put in 200+ hours on Oblivion and about 100+ hours on Morrowinds. So I downloaded a few mods for Morrowins, Better Bodies and the texture pack.

Even the lesser graphics was a pleasure to see, just the memories... and the fact that a mudcrab killed me first adventure out, just reminded me how much harder morrowinds was...

Balmora was again... comforting and fimiliar... weird how that is. Its just a video game yet Bethesda has created such a mood, such a feel for the game that it can take you back, like an old home, or a friends house and give you that same feeling.

Ok sorry... blah blah blah... Dark Elf, Necromancer... havent been one of those since... ummm oh yeah Morrowinds!

Ah, Morrowind...
I'm with you on nostalgia.
That game gave me the most satisfying role-playing experience in my gaming life.

I've just reinstalled it and know exactly how you feel, getting off the boat and going into Seyda Neen was like coming home. Happy days.

ahhh good ol memories...

t'was by far the best bethesda game ever... you truly see the creativity involved, the eye for detail and the love for the game... things i missed in oblivion and also in fallout to some extend, so far none of beths games could hold up to it imo

i loved the legion quest row, balmora ah, vivec... the houses... heck even the vampire quests... and with some optical mods and AA it doesnt look much worse than oblivion, true it doesnt have normalmaps but thats the only downside in my eyes
and the mods... the mods! madmax pegasus ranch, riding with your horse (which you could breed yourself and they even had genetics! so if you had strong parents youd get a strong kiddy horse lol) and a loved one next to you on the same horse, through a herd of buffalos with your bow ready... just to see the whole herd chase you over half he island was great... or vampire embrace... never seen such a great vampire mod again
even the cliffracers i do miss indeed :P
or fargoth :D the jerk... i always robbed him...
not to forget shuriken, shotblade, spears and xbows...

i just hope beth will one day return on the path of virtue instead of being the puppet of zenimax for eternity, showing despise towards their fans and ignoring them alltogether (read the last todd howard interview on planet and youll puke... such a %&$!... pardon me french)
