I am new to this game and this forum. I just purchased the game and am able to install the construction disk, but, when I try to install Elder Scrolls 3, I get about 96% done and end up with a box that says, "Data transfer error" and then everything closes down when I click ok.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there a plug in or patch that I should be downloading first???

I appreciate any help you can give me here!

Thanks!

Tazira

I think you should have installed morrowind first before you installed the cons. set. that's the only thing that I can think of. Otherwise try installing again, or go to elderscrolls.com and check the support section. They may have the solution here if you look in the right thread. Check support.

You don't need to install the construction set disk.. the construction set is, as I recall, installed from the main Morrowind disk.

Try uninstalling the construction set, then re-installing Morrowind.

My copy did that at about 70%, I pulled the disc out and looked real close, and some of the paint they used for the art when mass producing got onto the read surface, I CAREFULLY scrubbed it off and then it worked fine. I don't know if you have the same problem or not but that's what happened to me.
