Can't Start Morrowind

Hi there... today i installed morrowind and the expansions for the first time, and when i start it a a message error apears:
"DirectSound CreateSoundBuffer (Primary) Failed".
What should i do?

Is it says something about sound, then probably there's something wrong in that area.
Upgrade to latest mobo, sound drivers, DX 9.
What Sound card you have ?

Maybe you should try to buy a new sound card (or repair it).
