Before I start, lets keep this thread clean and as civil as possible.

My little review:

Love the game, but I am a bit dissapointed because the game isn't very big. Theres not many puzzles you have to solve, or you don't go back on yourself or Retrace steps like you have to do in the previous games such as Residetnt Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil: Remake or Resident Evil 3: Nemesis

The gore in the game isn't as brutal as in Resident Evil 4, however the amount of ways you can be killed is amazingly high

My Rating:

Graphics: 10
Gameplay: 9 --- Its not a scary game like the others
Features: 9 (I don't really like mercenaries, otherwise it would get a 10)
Storyline: 10 --- LOVE IT


Resident Evil 5 was a highly anticipated game before, and when it came out. Selling over 4.5million copies world-wide.

Personally, I have all of the achievements for resident evil 5, and don't like the fact of the new content coming out for it, and it would have been about 50million times better to remake one of the old games with better graphics, or put it as an expansion pack.

Oh and the content will cost around 400-500MS Points.

I also want to know what they think about the new content coming available with it too, do you think its a bad idea to put PVP content into Resident Evil? Or do you think it would have been better to remake a game such as Resident Evil: Code Veronica for Xbox 360 or PS3?


There is new content available from later today (7th April) called "Versus" along with new achievements/trophies.



Here are the new trophies/achievement requirements:


Army of One (15G): Win 30 matches in Slayers

Eye of the Tiger (15G) Win 30 matches in Survivors

The Team that stays together (30G): Win 30 matches in Team Slayers

We will survive (30G): Win 30 matches in Team Survivors

Keep the good times Rolling (15G): Chain 20-defeated combo in Slayers

It takes two to tango (15G): Chain a 40-defeated combo in Team Slayers

Its all about the Points (15G): Score at least 40,000 points in Survivors.

Theres no "I" In team (15G): Score at least 80,000 points in survivors

Lets get this party started (20G): Unlock all selectable characters in Versus

Bringing the Pain (30g): Defeat 100 players using physical attacks in Versus

Gameplay: 8.5 (pretty crappy inventory system, Zero Punctuation sums that up nicely)

I'm pretty satisfied that new content is coming out, although it's a bummer that they didn't include it with the original package.

Interesting, what do you mean with the inventory system?

Is it the reason that it doesn't pause the game? and you have to go into the inventory while zombies and what not are coming your way? I'm not entirely sure what you mean.

However, if thats the case, think of it as if it were a "Real Life situation", you couldn't just pause, look in your inventory and then switch weapon lol

The way the inventory is handled is very poor. I'll try to explain tomorrow, when I'm less tired. In the meanwhile, check out the Zero Punctuation review if you haven't already. It describes the inv. pretty well.

Hmm it was a pretty good game

Graphics: 10 ---They are pretty good best I ahve seen on an Xbox

Gameplay: 8 --- The game play was(boh single and multiplayer thoguh wold want to play Multlplayer more)but it was rather linir one they could of put in was alternitive routes and the Bosses were rather disapointing(even the Sub bosses were more challageing), dident ahve much problem with the inventroy system though,maybe a separate area for armour thoguh where only one can worn at a time

Features: 8 --- I loved mercenraires mode, the only Downside would be there is 2 unlockable chacters and the rest are jsut alteritive coustumes and that the last unlockable chacter was jsut an overpowered wesker, the thoguh enjoyed the 2(and one heavily altered) maps for it though, also more extra mini features could of been cool like RE4 had with Assiment Ada and Seprate ways

Storyline: 7 --- Yeah it was alright, though it was fairly basic, man wants to take over the world and is power hungry, the part about Jill missing(and thought dead) and then with the masked woman really was so predictable who it was that even in the traillers it was easy to tell who it was.


So yeah good game could be improved alot more

the DLC is rather pointless as a multiplayer VS, I dont think RE5 can really do that as control scheem wouldent really work and it will sjut turn in to fastest head shot first(keep it Co-OP)
The price for it is good

thoguh I would problerly buy DLC whats adds extra Mercneries mode maps(maybe add infinty mode to it aswell and chacters from past RE games awell)

as can think of many many good maps from Past RE games like the mansion, sewers connected to a small underground lab, Raccon police station,Raccon streets (with new neemys of past RE games and bosses(like nemisis) thoguh I doubt that would happen

Also, I have to complain about Redfield's brutish physique. His abs are the size of his head, and I suspect a case of 'roids.

I like the game, maybe because i played resident evil 4 it has simular gameplay, and the multi player is really addictive to, i might just get a platinum trophie with this game lol.

I haven't played this yet, although many people are saying it looks good.
As for the quote above, that would be one of the best things ever.
Although, they would change parts of it probably.
All they would need to do is bring the graphics up to date. THATS IT.
