As per the recent file server consolidation announcement there is now a new Premium Member only server available. Located in Texas, this server has download resuming features enabled and is capable of multi-threaded downloading. I managed to get a good 1mb/sec download speed off the server using the "DownThemAll!" FireFox plugin. Without the plugin I get only 120kb/sec. So if you're a premium member and you're a big downloader then I'd totally recommend the plug-in to you.

The London based Premium only server will remain operation for another month or so yet.

The new server is great (I hope it stays that way) download speed between 700 and 800kb/sec with plain IE8 download no strings attached.

Just tested the new Texas Premium server and I get the same speed or so as the London Server so all it perfect. I still get a wonderful 2Mb/s which is a nice download speed :D

Wow! 2 MB !!! I'm happy when I get 40kb/sec. I'm still trying to save some money to get a premium membership.

Yes, FDM is supported as is DTA.

I haven't used FDM for some time, DTA works great with firefox so don't know what the settings would be/

Which browser, I will run a test or two when I have time.

I've had that plugin for over a year but never used it to download files from the Nexus. Don't really have the need as I haven't been a real big downloader until recently. Will have to try it though when downloading mods like CUO that has thirteen files at 10 to 70mb each. The nice thing about the plugin is that it cues up all the file links on a page and down loads them 1 to 3 at a time, great for pages that contain 100 images that you want.

I got used to using IE7 as for certain business applications as they left me no choice.

I have had plenty of experience with FDM and little or no experience with DTA.

Ben, just went through a terrible experience, with a Firefox plug-in. So I am leery. They are not always compatible with one another.

But it is been some time since I've used IE7 for anything else. (Did I just recommend Firefox?)
