Okay, here's my problem: I've done EVERY quest in the thieve's guild except the ones from gentleman jim. So I had just finished the quest where you convince Hrundi to join you. I ask him for a job, he says I need to be a higher rank. I ask him for advancement, he says I need to do more jobs... see a problem here? Anyway, I look at a guide for the guild missions and apparently Jim DID NOT GIVE ME the very first quest he was supposed to (the half-troll one). He simply started with the second quest. So does anyone know how I can fix this and move on with the guild missions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hmm... thats odd not really sure what 2 do about that... u cud always try using the console 2 give u the journal entry...

or if that doesnt work, try just raising ur rank using the following command:

PCRaiseRank "Thieves Guild"

Huh, thats interesting because Hrundi is part of the Fighters Guild, not the Thieves Guild (even after you ask him to join you, I think.). When you ask for jobs and advancement from him, you are asking for advancement in the Fighters Guild, and for Fighters Guild quests. I dont think Hrundi guves Thieves Guild quests.

Dont worry about Hrundi, I would just report back to Gentleman Jim and finish his quests.
