ok i hope this hasnt been asked too much before...sorry if it has, but when you are doing the play and some dude runs up and attacks you, is there a way to prevent that? or do you just need to go in when you are higher then level 2

btw, this character is not my first, i have an argonian level 30-something and thats my highest.

Let me guess...you died immediately? I'm not sure if you need to be in the play or not (for the Trib main quest), but once you start it, you WILL be attacked.
Best idea...use a levitate potion before opening the door, and buy or make a lot of healing potions. Or wait 'til you're a higher level :bleh:

I once tried killing him before I did the play, and it worked the first time, besides the fact that the guards got a little pissed for some odd reason and they... knocked me out... perminatly... Then after getting back to him, I tried a second time to kill him beofre he got me, and it almost succedded untill he killed me... So I figured "Screw it." So what I ended up doing was he attacked me when te time came, I scampered over to one of the gaurds and, you have to get the right timing, managed him to swing at me, but I moved quick enough, so he hit the guard and that surely pissed him off. I took all of his stuff, the male without a father... Erm, The guards killed him... Yeah... *hides in special corner*

Level 2 is too low as you're up against a daedric weapon, a katana IIRC.

Or try setting the difficulty slider to -100!

Or you can save before you do the play and attempt what I did... Its not always very easy, but it will work if you time it right.

(Personally, I have a ring that does 100 Jump fer 8 sec., which is enough to stay off the ground for a while)

or you can be a cheap male without a father like me. i took my level 2 dark elf and got repeatedly kilt by that guy and then i decided to try to be sneaky. get some sort of cheap destruction magic enchanted item (i used the lightning ring which can be purchased in balmora for under 70gold) and the amulet of almsivi/divine intervention. as soon as he rushes the stage use the amulet of almsivi/divine intervention to teleport away. when you come back he should be standing in the open doorway of the stage. just start zapping him through the door and he'll just run in place . when your item gets low just leave and go rest in godsreach and come back. wash, rinse, repeat.

Well my strategy was, i dont know if you guys wanna spend time ACTUALLY getting good before doing that but, i played the game...omg...and grew levels and the first time i did it i pwned the guy...but thats just me...all patient and whatnot...
