it been a while since i been on the forum and just recently noticed that the system was changed.

Seems like you all went to a lot of trouble and work to put this together so kudos to all of you involved.

One thing i noticed is that you can endorse a file as well as not endorse it.

As much as how the system was before i can see a problem happening in the future with people choosing to not endorse a file. This option can leave a negative influence to the community on both users and authors if a problem might arise dealing with a file. I understand people still can choose whether they wish for their files to be rated or not in this way , but where do you draw the line if someone chooses to not endorse a file constructively, compared to someone just trolling or flaming work?

I don't know why I even bothered, because people just flame my this file for the miniskirts and panties. but too many people complain that ebony Cuirass 1st person mode the arms would not show, So I took the time to fix it.

An update to download the fixed cuirass is up now. I have retired from modding but will occassionally come to look at comments. And please do not request me to make major changes to my work other than something that can be fixed easy. I never will make plans to remove my miniskirts or panties. If you are unhappy with this file or any work i put into it just please download a more popular replacer mod or make your own.

for everyone else enjoying my work, I thankyou for your support.

well if you want a system like that which is used in the romancing eyja mod, you would need to set a wardrobe for every NPC in the game and set a changing schedule for every NPC. Not only would you need to alter every NPCs AI, but also do almost 20 times more busy work just to package new AI and clothing as well as adding the new scripting.

Honestly I think this is a neat concept but i highly doubt anyone would take the time or the effort to go to this extreme of implimenting the clothes changing system used in the romancing eyja mod.

It actually would be easy to make a mod like this because most clothing NPC carry are leveled items. It would mainly just be busy work packing new AI to every NPC and adding a few scripts to change the clothing for every day of the game week.

So I'm trying to take another look at the Bedroll mod that aaaBors created and I've tweaked. It's been a few months, so I'm starting out fresh, mentally.

I'd really like to take a look at exactly what changes the mod makes, in a concise list, without having to wander all over the CS manually. I seem to remember a way to do this exists, but I wasn't able to find it. Can anyone shed some light?

instead of loading the ESP and esm in CS just check "details" of the esp file and it list all accounted changes or modifications done in the esp file.

One of my computer caught a virus once from just opening up a website and it was clear it was a scripted web vid that automatically launches when you open the page. I ended up testing the web page on my main computer that is fully protected and another computer that has no protection. This is one reason why most web forums will not allow you to embed videos in threads unless the forum has a youtube script to embed safe videos. the only possible thing i can think that might have heppened if you think Win Rar is the problem is trojan virus. I personally use Win rar too and have never had a problem with a virus using it. if i ever suspect that something i might download might be unsafe i always scan it before extracting. Downloading a rar file will not let a virus free on your computer unless it is extracted such as trojans. most of the time trojan virus will be automatically be detected even if you are using Mcafee to protect your computer and it will be quarintined or removed. I honestly do not think Win rar or any mods off Nexus would have caused your computer to get a virus. Even if you think the virus could have gone away after you removed Win rar and all oblivion mods does not prove it was related to the program or anything you have downloaded from nexus. Honestly even with programs to protect your computer the internet will never be 100% safe to browse.

you have to look at it this way...

just because you use a a seatbelt when you drive a car does not guarantee if you get in an accident you will be unharmed. But people still drive cars knowing that so many people die a year in car accidents even with seatbelts on.

the only way you can be 100% sure to never catch a virus using your computer is to never use the internet. so you can actually use this in an argument with you husband accusing win rar or mods off nexus for being the cuase of the problems.

Crazy mod!

Unfortunately it just slightly clashes with the farmers market mod. It's not too bad running them together as the tower looks like its an extension to the farmers living quarters. Just makes the farmers look like they're constantly using the bank every morning/evening hehe.

BTW: where can I get the red shiny mythic dawn armour in the screenshots?

if you can get to the top to the tower you can buy the shiny armor in the screenshots from a lonely male guard lol

Honestly I don't mind construstive criticism when people rate my work. But I am a very concerned about when people not only rate my work but anyones work for unfit reasons low. If you honestly feel like any file deserves a rating of 1 or even a low rating, it is best to not even rate or leave comment at all. concidering how the current rating system is set there really should be no reason to rate any file a 1 or even a low rating at all. I would have to say over 99.9% of all files uploaded on this site I have seen do exactly what they are suppose to do, yet I always see people try to justify why they rate a file a low.

Honestly if you are one of those people who rate low for any other reason than what a file should do just ask your self this... How would you feel if you were a modder uploading files on a forum to download for free and people rate your work unjustly?

Do you honestly think even if you feel an author deserves a low rating for a file that it will change anything?

how do you think others in the community will look at you when they see you rating low or commenting negative criticism?

Ussually if files are rated low or a comment is left with negative criticism it will just be removed.

Dont worry I am not going to pull my work off this forum or anything. But lots of times you will see lots of Authors pull their work off any forum when they feel people do not like their work.

Well CW, i'd like to note some things finally... In my opinion you are much more a
busyness-lady or so than a modder... As i've noticed, you're VERY worried 'bout ratings of your files and simply ignore the fact there were no any of your mods if there were no the meshes made by MODDERS. Texturing and copy/pasting in NifScope is a great Job, but agree you couldn't texture/copy/paste something that doesn't exist...
So if you you just remembered that ~9/10 of the work was done by other people, i suppose you'd be much less worried about ratings/etc... Or i'm wrong?
P.S. I wonder what would be your reaction if somebody just inserted one of your mods in his own one without asking your permission and noting in read-me that downloading your mod is recommended but isn't necessary as all content is present? I think the moderators would be very busy for some time...

Mur_zik I really do not understand what your problem with me is, If you are still upset about something that happened in the past between us months ago, you really need to get over it. I have supported your work to the fullest over time. And helped to apply your work in many mods over time. I have sent you Emails, and PMs appologizing for any confussion about posting a pic of one of your animations you personally gave me and also took them down from the uploaded site to try to make you happy. I did not for any purpose use any animation you might have gave me in the past in any mod that was not already claimed by you as free resorce. If anything you should be greatful to have someone who has thought so highly of your work that they decide to use it in their own. honestly you really need to grow up Mur_zik, to personally attack anyone in a public forum is very childish.

I already tried to appologize to you months ago sending you emails and PMs, I am not about to spam your email now saying I am sorry anymore. If you feel so strongly about some of my work using your sexy_walk animation I would be happy to remove all my files from nexus just for you... you only need to say the word and it will be done. Because I have retired from modding oblivion.

edit: I have made all my files hidden till I hear from you just to make you happy. and Agian since you never checked your email way back in november, I am sorry I ever took a pic of an animation you gave me in the past without asking you even though i did even remove the pic from the uploaded site.

Yes I know I might have said before in the past about retiring. But I am now officially retiring from modding for the community. I have recently started new Job and started some new hobbies(not gaming), I have had personal issues in past with spending too much of my life playing oblivion and have taken the step to fully uninstall my game from my computer and have wiped my Harddrives clean of many mods i never actually used but just seems to have collected over time. I wont be removing any work on nexus but I wont promiss any huge support for any technical issues dealing with my files anymore. I do however still lurk forums related to gaming and will still be around if anyone wishes to contact me either for chat or anything related to my work.

I might start modding again once TES5 comes out because I will start taking classes on 3dmodeling and scripting this fall.

Also I made promiss to help finish dukecity mod with Duuke and umpa but cant tell you when the alpha will be finished.

I just wanted to thank everyone who support my work in the modding community and I would like to thank everyone who inspired me to mod TES4

looking at your screen shot i find it odd only that under the NPC menu there is only one NPC called "male" I have a feeling you didnt check the oblivion.esm at all after starting CS. so ofcorse you will not see any objects in the render window. you have managed to open up CS but failed to tell CS to load any info for it to even show you anything in the render window.

there probably many reason this file i released gets over looked because of all the hype of other stock armor and clothing replacers. Since EVE HGEC Eyecandy Variants Expansion was released my replacer mod seems to have just disappeared in the eyes of the community like most other replacer mods do over time. I will admit I do not think or claim it to be better than other stock clothing and armor replacers but i will say you wont find many replacers mods that give off a sex appeal with out it showing off too much skin.

I dont mean to promote my own work too much but if your looking for armor that isnt too revealing you could try my armor and clothing replacer mod. But seems not many people like it because of the miniskirts. but give it a try if you like and if you dont like it just make sure you backup all files before install so you can uninstall it easy.

without detail info on what exactly isnt working its a bit hard to help you with you issue.

as far as i know you downloaded the file and checked the ESP file but with lack of info exactly what might be the problem it could be far many things.

might not have offical patch for your game, might need to download OBMM to set order for conflicting mods, might not have HGEC female body replacer installed, could have improperly placed files in the wrong places. etc..

any amount of info would be a bit more helpfull.

you might have a deeper issue to your probelm. Need to possibly update your game and install the offical obilvion patch before anything can possibly work.

thanks.

Just wondering what object you find purple?

Ussually purple object are a result to having missing texture files. Might need to recheck and see if you properly installed all texture folders in their right places.

the bshirt the begger is wearing isnt begger shirt its the prisoin clothing and it should be added in my armor and clothing replacer mod. I think i ended up packing the Actual "beggers" shirt with the SI replacer armor and clothign replacer mod i released and just didnt bother adding it because no NPC is actually wearing it.

Alrighty ben, thanks, let me know please. I tend to collect stolen ingredients and keep them for later use in my inventory...it would be a pain to sell them all and buy them back again =S. What Items have no value though?

Stolen keys tend to have no value attached. there are other examples and lots of mods sometimes have items that have no value either. I know I been lazy when making new items I sometimes will not take the time to add an value or forget to.

not to derail the topic but i think everyone would be suprised to know only about 1% of the web consist of sexually explicit material and only about 90% of that is geared twards the male veiwers.

but yes you do need to do a more thorough search for just about anything to find what you are looking for. expecially when it seems almost anything you view on the web, without any kind of adult filters on, it seems you are constantly finding links to porn.

Yeah. I see this thread is dead and buried, but I have a complaint. Why do the age groups listed stop at 40? Who makes these idiot assumptions that gamers have to be so young? I was in my 60's when I first got hooked on Player Manager with the old Amiga 500. Now just finished my second lap of your 40 years.

Recently returned to Oblivion when I discovered the mods.....beats on-line gaming into a cocked hat. I have cancelled WoW and Lotro and several free games.

Try adding a few more age steps at 10 year intervals - you might even find a 90+ wink.gif

I have feeling when i am old and retired I will be in a retirement home where everyone is having a huge lan party having halo death matches and listening to 90's gangerstar rap, techno, and hard rock. lol

It sad to see anyone leave the community that contribute their work. I can understand you not wishing to give further support for your mod but I dont think you really needed to delete them either. But It is actually the Uploaders choice what fate they decide to do with their creations and respect this. Anyways best wishes and hope for what ever personal reason you have workout.

Simplest way without a mod - Sell stolen item to a fence, then buy it back. It will no longer be marked as stolen. thumbsup.gif

Bben46 this works perfectly only with items of an value. Anything that is sold to any NPC with no value attached become lost with in the players game for some odd reason. I remember this from personal experience once when i accidnetly sold a stolen item that had no value then try to buy it back but noticed the fence didn't even have it to sell. lol

Sadly I forgot to save my game frequently and had to load back almost 2 hours to get my item back. lol

So which one is the problem the download file or some internal error?

Without detail info I am not sure how to help. I can give you some suggestions about the archive. Some Zip compressing programs will not extract files properly if the character length exceeds a certain amout when trying to extract to a certain part of your computer. an easy fix to this is to rename the actual zip file to something shorter before you try to extract the files.

edit: also FCOM is a huge overhaul which makes it extremely incompatable with any other mods to work properly with it unless they were designed to. This deals with any changes made to original files. lots of people will have this problem if they are trying to install any replacer mods to their game that was not designed to work together with major overhauls.
