When I saw this topic, I was initially thinking it was a more complicated request such as carrying around one-handed sword and dynamically changing it to a two-handed sword. But now I am thinking that the OP simply wants to change the sword from one type to the other (permanently).

Two parts have to be in sync for this to work properly if I recall correctly.

#1 - The weapon must be defined as either 1 or 2 handed in the CS.
#2 - The weapon's NIF file must have a string setting describing it as 1 or 2 handed (and matching the setting in the CS)

So, if you have a 2-handed claymore, you need to make at LEAST two changes to make this happen. One in the CS and the other in the NIF itself. As previously mentioned, you might have to modify the xyz coordinates if the positioning in the hand is off but this can be done in NifSkope or a 3D modeling program such as Blender.

NIF Setting for a 1-handed weapon:

NiNode --> NiStringExtraData --> SideWeapon

NIF Setting for a 2-handed weapon:

NiNode --> NiStringExtraData --> BackWeapon

LHammonds, did you do the renegade interrupt at the start of Miranda's loyalty quest?
I can't remember that sequence. I did do the paragon interrupt towards the end. If there was a renegade-only interrupt at the beginning, I probably did it. Although there have been at least two times throughout the game that I noticed the interrupt too late and missed them (can't remember where). I am just too dang used to putting the controller down and stretching my fingers when a cut-scene starts playing. lol.

Oh, I loved the renegade interrupt option on the assassin (Thane?) mission where you sneak up on a squad leader and he starts talking smack to you (right next to a window in a very tall building). LOVE IT! I had Jack with me and she said something like "Dang Shepard, I need to take notes from you!"

I love it when a bad guy is talking smack and is interrupted with a surprising attack without mercy....kinda like head-butting that rival krogan while on the Grunt loyalty mission.

I still have not beat this game. I spent a large portion of this weekend shirking my responsibilities and playing it. My wife said last night "you still have not beat this game yet?!?!?! You must be loosing your mojo or something!"

Although I did not beat this the 1st day I got it, I did prove to her that I still have my mojo!

While playing this game, I do not feel the need to run through this game just to finish it.

I think the savegame utility says I have 34 hours racked up on this game so far but there is no telling how much of it is while I am asleep on the recliner while performing planetary scans. rolleyes.gif

I did get hold of the Widow sniper rifle and I must say it is a VERY nice weapon to tote around. I love seeing armored and shielded baddies jumping over crates to charge to the next crate only to find that they go down with a single shot to the head. Awesome!

I have acquired all of the team except the one you enable online (grrr) and have completed about 5 of the loyalty quests.

I had just finished the Miranda loyalty quest and as soon as I get back on the ship, her and another teammate have an argument and the choice I made caused her to loose the loyalty I just gained...that sucked wind more than a high-performance windmill! I thought about re-loading the entire quest to choose the other option to see what happens but I think it is really the best answer since she is a Cerberus loyalist. I at least got to have an alternate uniform but I think the original uniform shows off her attributes a bit better. smile.gif

I also customized my armor with red, white and blue which kinda made it look like an alternate (dark) Captain America uniform. Looks pretty cool.

There was one point where I had the Assassin (with Sniper), Me (with Pistol) and Miranda (with machinegun) posing when it went into a conversation/text selection screen and my 360 controller battery died. I didn't think nothing of it and when I came back into the room from changing my battery, I got the controller back up-and-running and actually noticed what I was seeing on the screen. It looked like a Charlie's Angels poster...I swear! Miranda looked so good in that pose that I called my brother-in-law into the room to take a gander. I should have taken a picture so I could post it but didn't think of it until later. (kicks self in rear).

In terms of each mod's position on the management page, they are controlled via cascade style sheets (CSS) and relative positioning. If you change the text size or windows size (dragging corner all around), the columns will self-adjust to the screen real estate you have available.

I have 70 file pages uploaded but mine are all uniform (exact same options set for all of them) which helps the rows line up identically without any "visual" problems no matter how large or small my window is sized. (completely unplanned)

I can easily see how varying options causing the boxes to be differently sized will mess up the positioning because of the "relative" factor as to what vertical space is the next available row. I do not know the solution to prevent the odd row selections and it may be that you cannot fix it without causing more problems...especially when you are trying to make it work for IE and Firefox...IE has a horrible history for screwing up CSS standards and forcing web designers to write custom IE-only CSS.

At the end of the day, I think Dark0ne will have this particular issue far down on his large to-do list...especially with his re-design in progress.

I have no work-around suggestion for the mean-time. sad.gif

Not yet. Mass Effect 2 (XBOX 360 version) is currently keeping me from even walking into my home office. But after I get this out of my system, I will get back to work on it.

Just to clarify, if somebody helps YOU specifically/personally, I should hope you would post a "thank you" but if somebody makes a post which helped you indirectly, then a "thank you" via Personal Message (PM) is more appropriate since that topic could get flooded with hundreds of people that are helped and reply with tons of thank you's. wink.gif

But even then, you are not likely going to see us slamming people for saying thank you even if this occurred (since TY's are so rare and greatly appreciated by those receiving them). This logic is the exception to the rule.

Hands down, it has to be Mass Effect.

Season 1 was great and I watched it over and over.

Season 2 is proving to be even better.

This whole interactive TV thing is great! thumbsup.gif

I guess it depends on who you ask. I used to use Avast 4.6 but switched to Comodo for a more complete package. Comodo was also one of the 1st free products to protect Windows 7.

I have recommended Avast many times in the past but only for home usage due to how their license works. Comodo however is completely free for use at home or in a company.

The only thing hot in my system is the video card...thanks to the water-cooling of the CPU. All of my case fans are set to their lowest settings which means I simply do not hear them (awesome). I will be curious when summer comes round though...the Texas heat can be a real killer!

VirtualDub was already mentioned but you are extremely limited when you tack on "Open Source" as a requirement.

Windows Movie Maker would be just what is needed but the biggest problem is that it is WAY TOO unstable and crashes all the time which leads to frustration even in the simple tasks.

I have found an alternative to Windows Movie Maker which works very-much like it but with many more options and is VERY stable. AVS Video Editor. You have to pay for this package but the nice thing is that it is VERY cheap. Not only that, when you buy one of their programs, you get everything they have ever made for free along with that product...such as AVS Video Converter which I have found to be invaluable.

Well, I finally got my copy in the mail yesterday and stayed up quite late playing this puppy.

I have to say it was hard to put down the controller...just wanted to keep on going. But then again, it wasn't "too" hard to put the controller down, I did afterall need to take a shower before heading to work. wink.gif

I found myself running out of ammo during the battles which required me to do 3 things different that what I did in ME1.

#1 - Had to pay attention where clips were laying around (they apparently will respawn during each wave of attacks)
#2 - Had to utilize each of my teams special forces more often to maximize biotics to reduce ammo usage
#3 - Had to aim better to ensure more headshots (thus reducing ammo usage).

I have not progressed far in the story and not obtained many weapons but of the couple varieties that I have found, each weapon seems to require a bit different method in tactics for each one which is really cool. The initial assault rifle seems to be a fairly standard spray-n-pray type of gun that allows for a lot of shots per clip but not much damage per round. The 2nd rifle I acquired did 5-round bursts which seemed to pack a bit harder punch but was most effective when aiming for the head. Same goes for the pistol, the initial pistol was plain-jane but the 2nd packed a larger punch and had less rounds per clip. I felt more confident carrying that heavy pistol than the original assault rifle!

I R * E * A * L * L * Y like how they replaced the boring "Simon Says" mini-game with more immersive chip re-routing / hacking and firewall bypass mini-games. Even though they too get boring after a few times, it is MUCH better than the Simon-says game.

cheezybullet, just as bendanboo said, the problem is that you did not install the mod completely. Sounds like you just placed the .esp plugin in the data folder and did not include all the meshes and textures.

This is a typical newbie mistake and as such, I will save you a TON of trouble by directing you to read the Oblivion Mods FAQ. This single document will keep you from having headache after headache since most initial questions about mods are answered right here.

Yes, I fat-fingered the 2nd or 3rd reference for that card which also had the URL to the 5870 which I simply copy and pasted later on. whistling.gif

It is a typo. I bought the 5870, not the 4870. The URL goes to the correct place but I fat fingered the number. I did try to buy a 5970 but it was nowhere to be found for 3 weeks that I searched. I had to spend the money before 2010 so I went with the card just below it which was available.

The ONLY bottleneck in my system right now is the hard drives but that will be fixed when I acquire an SSD with SATA 3.0 interface which will render the mechanical hard drive obsolete.

I will correct the typo when I get back to my PC but I cannot update the 1st post.

Rather than place a large amount of smaller hard drives in my computer (which cranks up watt-count), I decided to purchase two 1TB hard drives.

I was going to remove the 40GB drive I installed the OS on but after some thinking, I am going to keep the OS there.

I will add these drives as data drives and when I finally get my hands on the SATA 3.0 interface SSD drives (6 gb/s), I will replace the 40 GB drive then with the new SSD (will probably use DriveImageXML to simply move the OS)

I tried to update the 1st post but since the forum move, I cannot edit any posts made before the move so here is what I would have modified in the 1st post:

STEP 5 - Order Items (COMPLETE)

$2,699.30 - Grand Total

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, press the scroll wheel down and move the mouse to the right...which should scroll the browser to the right even though the browser does not provide the side-scrolling bar in that scenario.

Archive and upload the Blend file and I will see what is wrong with the rigging.

TIP: You can usually see what is wrong by selecting the skeleton, going into POSE mode and free-rotating different bones to see how they impact the associated mesh. An incorrectly rigged mesh usually reveals itself while doing this BEFORE going to the trouble of exporting and testing in-game.
